Why act now

The EASA RMT.0599 reform is reshaping pilot training. French clubs and training organisations need to prepare.

EASA is moving to competency-based training

RMT.0599 transposes CBTA into Part-FCL and Part-ORA. The first phases target ATPL and simulator instruction, but extension to FCL licences is expected by 2026-2028. Adopting the method before it becomes mandatory is the safer path.

Existing tools are English-only or out of reach

Current market solutions target tier-1 airlines (six-figure budgets) or are only available in English. None today is designed for French clubs at an accessible price.

Paper logbooks no longer pass modern audits

OSAC and DSAC audits require structured, traceable and signed data. Paper logbooks and spreadsheets offer neither the inter-rater concordance nor the legally probative archive the regulations expect.

The Prepavol CBTA solution

A complete framework, a recognised assessment method, a legally enforceable archive.

9 EASA competencies and ORCA method

Full framework of the 9 EASA competencies with translated observable behaviours, the ORCA method (Observation, Reflection, Conceptualisation, Application) and the HOW_MANY / HOW_OFTEN / TEM dimensions.

AdES eIDAS electronic signature

Advanced signature RSA-2048 + PBKDF2, timestamping, 5-year probative archive aligned with DSAC. Instructor signs, student re-authenticates with their password to countersign.

Complete OSAC audit pack

6+ page evaluation PDF per flight, cohort CSV export, auto-generated PART-DTO organisation manual, Cohen's κ concordance measure between instructors.

Native French integration

Pilots imported from Aerogest, SIGEBEL certifications, the OCR logbook and SIA VAC charts. Each CBTA evaluation can be linked to a logbook entry, fed by the Aerogest flights each pilot syncs, by file import or by manual entry.

The evaluation workflow

Four clear steps from the flight to the legally enforceable archive. Designed to be completed in under two minutes by the instructor.

1
Instructor evaluates

Rates the 9 competencies on the EASA scale, ticks the observable behaviours, qualifies HOW_MANY / HOW_OFTEN and Threat & Error Management.

2
Instructor signs

Advanced electronic signature by password, anchored to the active session. Cryptographic hash of the evaluation is timestamped and archived.

3
Student reads and countersigns

Mobile notification, evaluation review, countersignature by password re-authentication. The student can comment before signing.

4
Probative archive

AdES PDF generated automatically, eIDAS-sealed, archived for 5 years. Instant retrieval for an OSAC or DSAC audit.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before activating the CBTA module.

The RMT.0599 reform rolls out in phases. Phase 1 (ATPL, IR, MCC, simulator instruction) is already under way. Extension to the full Part-FCL set — including PPL, LAPL and class ratings — is expected by 2026-2028 according to the EASA published roadmap. Organisations that adopt early gain several years of advantage on competency checks and OSAC audits.

A pure VFR club with no ATO or DTO activity has no immediate obligation. If you train PPL, LAPL or additional ratings, adopting CBTA now prepares you for upcoming audits, structures your pedagogy and improves your training quality. Several French pioneer organisations already use the method to differentiate their offer.

Yes. The CBTA module can be activated during the trial period at signup, no credit card required, together with the club core plan. You can test the full framework, the evaluation workflow and the audit PDF generation throughout the standard trial duration.

No commitment. You can cancel the add-on at any time from your billing area. Already signed evaluations remain archived and downloadable. Deactivation is immediate, with a pro-rata refund if you paid yearly.

Partly. Pilots are imported from Aerogest Online during onboarding, and the flights of each pilot who connects their account feed their logbook. CBTA evaluations are not created automatically: the instructor creates each evaluation (student, date, aircraft, route, duration) and can link it to a logbook entry. For OpenFlyers, bookings and flights are also synced by each pilot who connects their account.

The new Prepavol mobile app (currently being finalised) integrates the CBTA workflow optimised for in-field evaluation in under 90 seconds post-flight. In the meantime, the web interface is fully responsive and usable on tablet or smartphone.

Our signature is an advanced electronic signature (AdES) compliant with eIDAS Regulation (EU) 910/2014. It relies on RSA-2048 + SHA-256 + qualified timestamping and offers a presumption of integrity. OSAC accepts electronically signed progression logbooks provided the process is traceable and auditable — which it is.
